SLD (System Landscape Directory) configuration in solman java AS

What is SLD?

After the Launch of Netweaver, where all the systems are defined in One Landscape. So we use SLD to register the other systems in the Landscape

Before configuring SLD we have to open SAP in local browser as http://solman.<host_name>:50200/sld where "5" is default and "02" is instance number and ''00" is default port

·         In case the browser is opening means we have to go directory /usr/sap/SID/SYS/global/security/data/icm_filter_rules.txt file in that file we have to remove content then save it and restart the SAP server

·         Login solman.<hostname>:50200

  • Select SAP NetWeaver Administration

·         Provide the username “J2ee_admin” and password then login

·         Click on Configuration Tab

·         Under configuration tab select "scenarios"

·         Open "Configuration Wizard" option.

·         Open "Function Unit configuration UI"

·         Then select "System Landscape Directory" from the menu and click on "Enable Automatically"

·         It ask to provide ABAP Administrator password, J2EE Administrator password, Master password

·         Then click on next

·         Select ''set up a new local SLD, then give next

·         Wait till it get completes

·         Finished the SLD Configuration

·         Once SLD is ready, upgrade CR content

·         Check the CR Content version by the navigation follows,

·         Login as http://solman.<hostname>:50200/sld and select Administration Tab

·         Click on details

·         Click on data, there in content you can observe the version of SAP CR CONTENT

·         Update CR content as per SAP note: 669669- update of SAP system Component Repository in SLD.

·         Download SAP CR content from support.sap.comĆ  support packages and patches By Alphabetical Index (A-Z) -> letter C -> SAP CR CONTENT page, the following items to be download are current CIM data model as the file name cimsap…zip file and current SAP CR Content update as the file CRDelta….zip file

·         Now we have to import those two file by using URL http://solman.<hostname>:50200/sld Ć  Administration Tab Ć Import

·         In this step we have to load CIM file

·         Click on  continue import

·         Do it same for CRDELTA

·         Import started

·         Once CR content upgrades finish --> choose administration -->settings               -->server configuration, choose "perform role mapping button" and click confirm.

·         Confirm

·         Roles have been mapped

·         Next step is we have to call T-code SOLMAN_SETUP
