How to stop EC2 instance in AWS

From the EC2 instance launching page (AWS console --> services-->compute --->EC2--> Running instances --> select the correct instance which need to Stop) perform the below navigation.

 click on stop option as highlighted below. Actions -->instance state -->stop.                                                            

then the screen prompts for conformation screen. conform it to stop EC2 instance.
